Was hired to “bring life and drive sales” to The Tribute Community. Developed by Jack Matthews, The Tribute is a peninsula of homes built around two golf courses. Through my Community Relations , Event Planning and Marketing initiatives and building relationships with key partneres, I have created a resort lifestyle and community that has drawn the spot light on this growing community.

  • Smaller regular events including: Ladies Bunco, Texas Hold em’, Boot Camp, Happy Hours, Pool Parties and Wine Tastings.
  • Larger events including: a BIG Community Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Kick off party and Realtor functions.

Was hired by team owner Donnie Nelson to be a part of his new NBA basketball franchise. At the groundbreaking level, the job description includes “anything and everything”, but with the main focus being on Special Events and Promotions.

Team Job Fair 10/17/2009

  • Planned and promoted a job fair with the attendance of over 200 job seekers.

Press Conference 11/5/2009

  • Executed a Press Conference with major media in attendance.

Team Launch Party 11/5/2009

  • Planned the official team launch event in partnership with the team owners. The guests included top city officials, celebrities and athletes.

Was hired for a short term marketing consulting position with the rodeo to build and establish a social media program, to provide creative input on current marketing initiatives in addition to promoting several special events.

 Mill Creek Ranch Resort

 Was hired at Mill Creek Ranch Resort as a Public Relations Manager and Special Events Coordinator. As the Public Relations Manager, I forged alliances with local business and government officials for the benefit of giving the resort a good standing the community, in addition to building and developing marketing partnerships, as well as creating programs to build employee relations internally. As the Special Events Coordinator, I planned a two day music festival, featuring top Texas Country Artists and with an anticipated attendance of 3-5,000 people.

  Public Relations Manager

  •  Built partnering relationships with local businesses and government officials for the benefit of the resort
  •  Writing press releases, of which many were published
  • Writing external newsletters to a database of over 8,000 people
  • Created an internal staff newsletters
  • Created an “Employee of the Month” program and monthly birthday party

Special Events Planning

  • Built a partnership with a local radio station for the benefit of partnering on a concert event
  • Negotiated the terms so that Mill Creek would be taking a minimum risk on order to partner on this concert.
  • Planned all details for a music festival of 3-5,000 people
  • Renegotiated the terms several times in the planning process in order to protect the resort and it’s interest in the event.
  • Raised $8,000  in sponsorship to remove the remainder of the risk for the resort.

 Starting as Sales Assistant and was promoted eventually to Sales Associate and then Sales Manager.  I began in a company that did not have a sales department and created and developed all of the systems to elevate our company from a small builder to one of the most recognized in our market.  Nominated by current homeowners and employer and then awarded “Employee of the Year” in 2007 by the Dallas Homebuilders Association.

During my eighteen months with the Salesmanship Club, I worked in a team of counselors to teach  Emotionally Disturbed teenager girls life skills that will equip them to enter back into the school systems and society. We lived and worked in teams of three counselors 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, living in a wilderness outdoor setting. I fulfilled my 18 month commitment to serving At-Risk Teenagers.

  • Team Supervision of Emotionally Disturbed Adolescence at an Outdoor Residential Treatment Facility
  • Develop and apply specific strategies for At-Risk youth using “solution-focused therapy”
  •  Research and design educational activities such as canoeing, backpacking, science projects and crafts
